New Preset! Iron Maiden - Seventh Son of a Seventh Son

Perhaps my fifth favourite album after "Number of the Beast", "Somewhere In Time", and "Piece of Mind" and "Powerslave". The tone is heavy, compressed and very spacial (lots of delay and reverb). A very themed album, with sort of magical, mysterious songs/song names.

My favourite songs from this album would be "Infinite Dreams", "The Evil That Men Do", "Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son" and "Can I Play With Madness". My favourite from those would be "Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son"....and ...and "Infinite Dreams".

Song listing for this album includes:

01 - Moonchild
02 - Infinite Dreams
03 - Can I Play With Madness
04 - The Evil That Men Do
05 - Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son
06 - The Prophecy
07 - The Clairvoyant
08 - Only The Good Die Young

Metallica - Master Of Puppets

Not much needs to be said. A Metallica Metal Masterpiece! An important part of the story of Heavy (Thrash) Metal tone and style. The tone has plenty of weight for any Metal fan! Some of the riffs from this album are just incredible, and recognized by all true Heavy metal fans. Most noteable riffs are the riffs from "Master of Puppets" , "Battery", "Damage Inc.", "The Thing That Should Not Be" (prepare for the HEAVY riff). All in all, this album fulfills any Metal head's never-ending hunger for tasty riffs. The entire album is a riff powerhouse. "Orion" tells a little story of its own. I'm not sure of what, but it does. I have to say, its one of my favourite instrumentals of all time. With bass solos and riffs and all.

My favourite songs would have to be "Master of Puppets", "Welcome Home", "Battery", "Damage Inc." and "Orion". My favourite being "Master of Puppets".

Song listing for this album includes:

01 - Battery
02 - Master Of Puppets
03 - The Thing That Should Not Be
04 - Welcome Home (Sanitarium)
05 - Disposable Heros
06 - Leper Messiah
07 - Orion
08 - Damage Inc.

Iron Maiden - Somewhere In Time

What can I say? Maybe by third favourite album after maybe "The Number of the Beast" and "Piece Of Mind". The tone on this album is very unlike Maiden in that uses a lot of synthetic guitar sounds, which makes this tone hard to replicate (specially since this album evidently uses a squealing treble booster under a very tight compressor of sorts, giving it a plastic, yet robotic, steely feel - perfect for the album theme - being Caught Somewhere In Time.

My favourite songs would have to be "Alexander the Great", "Wasted Years", "Caught Somewhere In Time", "
Déjà Vu" "Stranger In A Stranger Land", "Heaven Can Wait" and "Sea Of Madness". My favourite from them probably being "Alexander the Great". It's just a masterpiece.

Song listing for this album includes:

01 - Caught Somewhere In Time
02 - Wasted Years
03 - Sea Of Madness
04 - Heaven Can Wait
05 - The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner
06 - Stranger In A Strange Land
07 - Déjà Vu
08 - Alexander the Great (256-323 BC)

Iron Maiden - The Number of the Beast

This is definitely one of my favourite Iron Maiden albums. I would say maybe my favourite, actually. Awesome tone -actually a very heavy tone, when compared to the previous two albums, thanks to the lean, yet very integral chorus in the intros especially, but also throughout whole songs. Also, the reverb and delay with this tone give it a dark, spooky, scary vibe - perfect for the theme of this album.

My favourite songs would have to be "Hallowed be Thy Name", "The Number of the Beast", "Children of the Damned", "Run to the Hills" and "Total Eclipse", however, as with all Maiden albums, they're all great songs. Hallowed Be Thy Name probably being my favourite, though.... or is it The Number of the Beast.. :S. When it comes to Iron Maiden, I can never choose.

Song listing for this album includes:

01 - Invaders
02 - Children of the Damned
03 - The Prisoner
04 - 22 Acacia Avenue
05 - The Number of the Beast
06 - Run to the Hills
07 - Gangland
08 - Total Eclipse
09 - Hallowed be Thy Name

NOTE: You might want to turn the Chorus up for the intros (the 'Level' setting up to about 7.8, and the 'Depth' up to about 1.8).

Iron Maiden - Piece of Mind

This is my first sample preset (The Number of the Beast is coming soon :D). This is one of my favorite Iron Maiden albums (like all albums :p). The tone is retro, sharp, treble and mids-saturated/very overdriven and just overall fantastic. It also has a nice touch of delay and reverb. Favourite songs from this album include "Flight Of Icarus", "Revelations", "Where Eagles Dare", "The Trooper" and "To Tame a Land" and... well, actually, all of them...

Song listing for this album include:

01 - Where Eagles Dare
02 - Revelations
03 - Flight Of Icarus
04 - Die With Your Boots On
05 - The Trooper :D
06 - Still Life
07 - Quest For Fire
08 - Sun and Steel
09 - To Tame a Land

I will be creating links to my presets on my Dropbox account because I find it more convenient for me, but also because you won't have to sign in and what not. You can download them directly simply by clicking the download button below the descriptions.

Note that I will constantly update my presets. The update number (if an updated preset) will be denoted as such e.g. "(Update 3)"

Welcome Guys!

I am just a novice guitar player (I am still learning, and am still terrible :/) but I love to create my own custom tones and presets using the Fender Mustang amp. I currently have the Fender Mustang III (V1) at the time of writing, so all presets will be created on -and for- that amp, but will be compatible with the V2 Series, and as far as I'm aware; the Bronco Series of amp?? I could be wrong.

I forewarn you all, though: I will be uploading mostly -if not exclusively-, heavy metal and hard rock presets. Also, my favorite band is Iron Maiden, so I should like to find most of the tones for all their best albums. Also, Metallica, Megadeth, Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, Dio, etc. and some rock, like ACDC, Whitesnake, Guns 'n' Roses, Led Zeppelin etc.

OK, well. This post was simply to state the purpose of this site, and my intent. I hope you will all check out and enjoy all presets I upload in the future! Please comment, and give a rating for presets, let me know how I can improve on the presets, or what you liked. I would appreciate it! :)
You may also subscribe to a feed of all uploads for the future, to keep you updated, if you so wish.

NOTE:
  • I may upload updates to presets, improving on or completely starting over with them
  • I may use the 'wrong' cabinet, it seems sometimes or the amp model, but I sometimes need to if I need more gain where the suitable amp model may not be able to provide it etc.
  • I may have too much gain on some presets, because at the moment, I mostly only have access to an Ibanez Roadster Series with single coil pickups and, well, I think we know we will not get the most tight, gainy response sometimes needed for heavy metal.
  • I will try to keep the volume of all my presets equalized but they will inevitably vary. I have tried to make them around the average volume of the default Fender presets.
  • You may wish to tweak some presets because I may like slightly more gain, you may like less, more treble/less treble, bass etc.
  • Some presets may have some more 'edge' put on them than the original, either because it gives it a bit more umph, or it just makes it more enjoyable to jam with the volume down a bit lower.
  • As a general rule with all amps, the bass will make a muddy interference with the overall tone, when the amp is cranked up. If you are jamming with friends or just turning the amp up louder than normal home use, try adjusting the Bass down about 10-15%, and maybe a little Mids also, to keep the tone sharp and sweet :D
  • Most, if not all of my presets were made using and for use with the bridge pickup, because to me, the neck and merged pickup positions can sound too muddy, but my all means experiment and change the pickup position or adjust the preset as needed. For solos (if no special solo preset is made, the neck pickup sometimes will sound better)
  • I am a busy guy, so presets are uploaded, well.. randomly, so don't expect a pattern
